Donations to Support the Overall Operations, Renovations and Update Our Exhibits
Like many museums around the area, we are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. We operate solely on volunteer hours and through the charitable donations from businesses and people like you! Our new board members are currently bringing the building and exhibits up to date This is where we need your help!
Our mission is to tell the story of the people, places and events that have influenced the Towanda Area of today, through historical artifacts, family narratives and educational, cultural events. (e.g., Pow Wows, art & music festivals, seminars, etc.)
For those of you who are interested in a monetary donation, our expense list is continually growing as we dig into the restoration of this historical property. The need for public funding increases as we work towards our final goal of bringing our building and exhibits up to working order. Our renovations plans include, but are not limited to, window replacement, a new electrical system on our second floor, as well as heating and air. We also have scheduled plans for cosmetic work, like refinishing the wood floors and wall structures, and building of the new exhibits. More detailed information is available upon request.

Other Ways To Donate
We are asking for the publics help in assisting us in locating any artifacts, pictures, or historical materials in relation to our area. If there are any materials in the private collections of the community, the TAHM would consider these items a valuable addition to our museum archives. Whether it be veteran affairs, local Indian Tribes, school items, local business or event pieces, or historical information from your ancestors, we would love to include these items in our exhibits. Artifacts could be donated or placed on loan for a specified amount of time.
