Donations to Support the Overall Operations, Renovations and Update Our Exhibits
Like many museums around the area, we are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. We operate solely on volunteer hours and through the charitable donations from businesses and people like you! Our board members are always maintaining the building and improving exhibits. This is where we need your help!
Our mission is to tell the story of the people, places and events that have influenced the Towanda Area of today, through historical artifacts, family narratives and educational, cultural events. (e.g., Pow Wows, art & music festivals, seminars, etc.)
For those of you who are interested in a monetary donation, our expense list is continually growing as we dig into the restoration of this historical property, keeping it up to date and finishing, completing, and rotating exhibits as we uncover more of our history. The need for public funding is on going. Our current renovations plans include, but are not limited to, window replacement on the second floor, updating the restroom and completing exhibits like the Time Capsule, Tornadoes, School and the new and upcoming Train Station!

Other Ways To Donate
We are asking for the publics help in assisting us in locating any artifacts, pictures, or historical materials in relation to our area. If there are any materials in the private collections of the community, the TAHM would consider these items a valuable addition to our museum archives. Whether it be veteran affairs, local Indian Tribes, school items, local business or event pieces, or historical information from your ancestors, we would love to include these items in our exhibits. Artifacts could be donated or placed on loan for a specified amount of time.
