Towanda Christmas will be bigger and better than ever!
Bring the family for a fun event downtown.
We want to set the scene for you to enjoy some time fireside with your neighbors. So, bring your lawn chairs and blankets as there will be smores kits available while supplies last. Lots of folks helping with donations to make the smores kits, including the Museum, Psycho Kitty Creations, and the Fire Department. Hot cider at the Museum when you stop by to visit with Santa, who will be arriving by firetruck downtown. The Lions Club will be giving out free bags of popcorn, and the Friends of the Library are hosting an ornament decorating station. Lets get our tree downtown decorated! The Towanda Community Church will be doing a cake walk. We will have lots of Christmas Music during the evening, including a special performance by the Circle High Madrigals around the fire pits. There will be a coloring contest. Students from 4 age groups will be provided with coloring sheets at school the week prior. Winners will be announced at the party to receive a special holiday prize! Fulton Valley Farms is going to bring live reindeer and setup a grand booth to learn all about raising reindeer. Fill your belly with a hot toasty sandwich special from Gambinos, hot beverages from Traveling' Toms Coffee Truck and top it off with some sweet treats from Watt's Cooking and Catering who will be setup to serve delicious toasted nuts, funnel cakes and deep fried Oreos or peaches.
Towanda Hometown Action Commission is in need of volunteers to help setup and work this event. Please email at [email protected] or speak to a representative. Better yet, attend our next meeting on November 21, 7pm at the Museum! We desperately need more help! Maybe there are some local students who need community volunteer hours?
