Flowers Tool House, 1938
By the end of the boom period, most buildings were connected to both water and natural gas through a system of pipelines. These pipelines laid directly on the ground surface, and the water and gas provided by the company. Water used for washing was piped into the houses from a reservoir, and the drinking water was hauled through the town in a wooden tank on a wagon. Each family would fill enough buckets for their needs.
