Getting involved in community activities or volunteering can boost a kids confidence and build skills.  We have organized a number of events specifically for our local kids to have fun together.  But, we also know the importance of civic responsibility and being active in the community, so let us know if your child has interest in helping us at the museum or someplace around town. Maybe they even have a great idea for a new class to host!

2022 YOUTH CLASS SCHEDULE
March 12, 2PM-5PM - Useful Life Skills Everyone Should Know
May 28 - Kids Summer Kickoff!
November 12 - Christmas Ornament and Craft

SATURDAY MARCH 12   2PM-5PM
​Kids Camp #1 - THINGS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW.  
We will explore life skills that are useful for all ages to learn and know.  
​From tying a tie or a fishing hook, to reading a recipe and measure out ingredients to make a snack.  
The kids will learn how to thread a needle, make a stitch and sew a button.  
Small day to day things we all should know how to do.
​We will end the day writing a small letter, properly addressed of course,
and putting them into a time capsule to be stored in the wall of the museum for 100 years. 

Kids Camp #2 - SCHOOLS OUT, LETS PARTY!  
We will spend lot of time outside in the sunshine doing fun,
​and somewhat messy, activities.  
Send the kids in play clothes because its WAR!  COLOR WARS!  
​We plan to block off the street and party like its the last day of school with lots of fun activities!

​Kids Camp #3 - Its almost Christmas time!
We want to squeeze in one more Kids event before the end of the year.  
This camp will be all about the holidays!
We are still planning the details, but we will do a fun Gnome project, Christmas ornaments and make tasty treats!
